Officers from the NH Fish and Game Law Enforcement Operation were told about a hiker who was threatening people at the Zealand Hut in Bethlehem around 5:50 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20.

Several officers then hiked to the hut where they found "a highly agitated naked male" on the roof. After more than an hour of calming him down, officers arrested the man, later identified as 35-year-old Brian Cheverier of Boylston, MA.

No hikers were injured and charges for Cheverier are pending, NH Fish and Game said.
